With the explosion of LLM-based chatbots, a common limitation of LLMs is answering questions in domain-specific settings. While the cost of fine-tuning LLMs on custom documentation can be prohibitive for many organisations, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) can be used as an alternative by connecting LLMs to your own data to substantially improve their performance. Featuring a live-demo, this talk will go over a basic schema for building a PDF-based RAG application using LangChain and optimising your data storage using Qdrant as a cloud-based vector store.
